Fortification refers to using walls to bolster the strength of a turret. Connecting unbroken, straight sections of wall to a turret bolsters its defenses. Fortified turrets are marked with shields and wrenches to signify its level of protection. A fully fortified turret will take nearly twice as much damage before being destroyed.
Levels of Fortification
- Shield: Turret has one length of wall connected to it
- Shield and wrench: Turret has 3 lengths of wall connected to it
- Shield and two wrenches: Turret has 5 lengths of wall connected to it
